Abstract: Data governance is the only way for enterprises to realize the value release of data elements. This paper proposes the overall framework for data governance in petrochemical enterprises, establishes the required guarantee mechanisms and tool support for system operation by clarifying the work content of data governance and data operation, and forms a long-term mechanism for data governance. At the same time, the "seven-step method" for data governance in petrochemical enterprises is proposed, and the data resource inventory method and application practice based on the combination of business inventory and application system inventory are described, promoting the sharing and circulation of data inside and outside the enterprise. This paper aims to provide practical references for data governance in petrochemical enterprises, promote the industrial upgrading of the petrochemical industry, and assist in the development of the digital economy.
