Abstract:

Puguang natural gas purification plant is the largest sulfur production base in Asia with a designed sulfur production capacity of 2.4 MM TPY. In response to safety hazards of the super large sulfur storage and transportation system such as dust diffusion caused by the landing of sulfur in belt conveyor unit, the risk of sulfur dust at the underground corridor exceeding the standard, and dust flash explosions in loading units, it carried out dust risk prevention and control measures around the solid sulfur storage, transportation, and loading processes. By researching integrated cleaning of belt conveyor, dust reduction in underground corridors, and comprehensive control technology for dust flash explosions, key technologies for dust prevention and control throughout the entire process of large-scale solid sulfur storage and transportation system have been formed, achieving safe and clean production, and improving the intrinsic safety level of the unit.
