Abstract:

Hexachlorobutadiene(HCBD), as an emerging contaminant, brings great risks to the ecological environment and human health due to its high toxicity, non-degradability, bioaccumulation and long-distance migration. The hazards of HCBD are briefly described, the sources and pollution status of HCBD in China are analyzed, and the status of environmental control and the progress of treatment technology of HCBD in China are summarized. In view of the existing problems, suggestions are put forward from environmental management, monitoring and analysis technology and emission reduction management technology to provide references for controlling source emission of HCBD, reducing environmental pollution level and strengthening environmental risk control. Future research should focus on the mechanism and toxicology of HCBD production, monitoring techniques for HCBD, and the development of efficient control of HCBD and remediation technologies.
