Abstract:

In order to study the process of producing high-quality low-sulfur petroleum coke from ethylene tar and catalytic cracking slurry, the effects of different reaction conditions on petroleum coke were investigated using a delayed coking pilot plant with ethylene tar and catalytic cracking slurry as raw materials. The results show that under the optimal pre-treatment conditions of a temperature of 350℃, a pressure of 0.6MPa, and a reaction time of 120min, the petroleum coke yield of ethylene tar reaches 28.70%. Compared with the petroleum coke obtained without pre-treatment, the yield of petroleum coke is increased by 2.34 percentage points. The addition of catalytic cracking slurry has a significant impact on the yield and ash content of petroleum coke, and the appropriate blending ratio is 20%–30%. The yield of low-sulfur petroleum coke prepared from ethylene tar and catalytic cracking slurry can reach 36.96%, which is 10.60 percentage points higher than that of pure ethylene tar. Moreover, the ash content of the petroleum coke is less than 0.4%, the volatile matter is less than 12%, and the sulfur mass fraction is less than 0.5%, meeting the technical requirements of 2A coke.
