“Corrosion & Protection in Petrochemical Industry” was first published in 1984. Ever since Sinopec Petrochemical Equipment Anti-corrosion Research Center was founded in 1989, the journal has entered a period of rapid development. In June 1995, it was approved by China Ministry Science and Technology as a sci-tech journal (bimonthly) to be published and distributed both inChinaand abroad. 

The publication principles of the journal are: “ Publication of technical academic papers on state-of-the-art, practical, leading-edge science and technologies on corrosion and corrosion protection on the basis of commercial operations of petroleum refineries and petrochemical plants and R & D activities for the continuous rapid development of anti-corrosion technologies for petrochemical industry.
