Statement on Publishing Ethics and Academic Misconduct
In order to standardize the publication ethics and morality of authors, reviewers and editors, strengthen professional ethics, promote the integrity of scientific research, create a good academic atmosphere for our journal, and improve the overall level of professional publishing, combined with the actual situation of periodical publishing, the editorial office of Corrosion & Protection in Petrochemical Industry has developed a guide to publishing ethics.
1. Author’s Publishing Ethics
1) Manuscript cannot be submitted to multiple journals at the same time, and the published manuscript cannot be published repeatedly.
2) Ensure that the manuscripts are original works without academic misconduct such as plagiarism and data forgery.
3) The manuscript content shall not contain confidential information. The content shall be scientific, accurate, reliable, and the author shall take sole responsibility.
4) All the named authors of the paper shall have made substantial contributions to the work of the paper and shall be responsible for the paper. Before submission, all the named authors shall review all the research contents of the paper to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the results, ensure that there is no publishing ethics and academic misconduct, and must agree to the signature of the authors and the name order of the co-authors. No modification will be made after submission.
5) When using or quoting the contents of other people's works or papers, the author shall state the source in the article according to the regulations.
6) For paper with fund project background, the name and number of the fund project shall be indicated in the paper, but irrelevant fund project shall not be used for illegal annotation.
2. Publishing Ethics of Reviewers
1) Journal editorial board and peer reviewers make use of their professional advantages, strictly abide by the standards of quality review of academic papers, treat all manuscripts objectively and fairly, and maintain their authenticity and accuracy.
2) Review manuscript timely and give concrete review comments. If review cannot be completed on time for any reason, the editorial office will be informed in time.
3) The evaluation of manuscript shall be scientific and accurate, and it is beneficial to the improvement in paper quality.
4) If the problems such as falsification, plagiarism or serious errors are found in the published papers, the reviewers shall notify the editorial office of Corrosion & Protection in Petrochemical Industry in the shortest time to take ways of rejection, retraction and revision to correct.
5) The reviewers are not allowed to use the author's research results in violation of regulations and take advantage of the reviewing process to obtain personal gains.
3. Editor’s Publishing Ethics
1) Fully respect the legitimate rights and interests of the author, and strictly abide by relevant laws and regulations to carry out editing and proofreading in the process of editing and publishing.
2) Remind and supervise the authors to standardize publishing behaviors and abide by publishing ethics in the process of editing and publishing, and refuse to publish any article with controversial signature, plagiarism, falsification and other academic misconduct, and without indicating the source when citing others' works.
3) If there is academic misconduct in the paper, the editors shall report to the editorial office in time. According to the seriousness of the case, the authors will be given a written warning, the paper will be refused to publish, their behaviors will be informed to their units and they will be punished seriously; if the authors repeatedly violates academic ethics and writing ethics, they will be added to the blacklist of the journal, and their academic misconduct will be publicized in an appropriate way and their paper will not be employed.
4. Copyright and Access
1) The editorial office of Corrosion & Protection in Petrochemical Industry is the copyright owner of all published papers in the journal of Corrosion & Protection in Petrochemical Industry.
2) In order to meet the needs of information construction and expand the academic communication channels of authors, the editorial office of Corrosion & Protection in Petrochemical Industry has licensed to copy, distribute and disseminate the full text of the journal digitally in the database products of China Core Journal Database, China national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI), China Academic Journal (CD version), Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), Chinese Science and Technology Periodicals Database, and "China Journal Network" and other Internet media, as well as mobile platform databases such as superstar. The author's copyright usage fee and contribution remuneration are paid in one time. If the author submits the manuscript to the journal, it means that the author agrees it to be included in various Internet and mobile data platforms.
3) According to the principle of self-responsibility, once the editorial office of Corrosion & Protection in Petrochemical Industry receives the submission, the paper is considered as the original achievement independently completed by the author, and it will not infringe upon the relevant rights and interests of other units and individuals; since the date of publication, it is believed that the author voluntarily transfers the copyright of the article to the editorial office of the journal; there is no dispute of signature and ranking between the authors; the paper has passed the confidential examination and approval of the unit. In case of any of the above problems, the author shall bear relevant responsibility and the editorial office shall not bear any responsibility.
