Influence of solvent on deasphalting unit in oil sands bitumen upgrader

溶剂对油砂沥青改质溶剂脱沥青影响研究

Abstract: In order to optimize the operation of the solvent deasphalting unit in an oil sand asphalt upgrading plant, the operation status and existing problems of solvent deasphalting unit are analyzed. By studying the influence of solvent composition and process conditions on the efficiency and energy consumption of the solvent deasphalting unit, combined with theoretical calculation and industrial benchmarking, the operation optimization suggestions of the solvent deasphalting unit are put forward. And the optimized operation of the solvent deasphalting unit is proposed. The solvent deasphalting unit uses n-C5H12 with purity higher than 99.9%, which has strict requirements on solvent quality, resulting in high solvent cost. The mass ratio of solvent/residue is as high as 7, which will cause high energy consumption of the unit. By the optimization, when the purity of n-C5H12 solvent is more than 90% and the content of n-C4H10 solvent is less than 10%, the deasphalted oil yield reduction is not more than 1%, but the requirements for quality of solvent is reduced obviously. By adjusting the mass ratio of solvent/residue to 4, although the yield of deasphalted oil is reduced by 0.8 percentage points, the energy consumption of solvent deasphalting unit is reduced by about 33.4%.

摘要: 为优化某油砂沥青改质厂溶剂脱沥青单元操作水平,分析了溶剂脱沥青装置运行状况及存在问题,通过研究溶剂组成和工艺条件对溶剂脱沥青单元效率和能耗的影响规律,结合理论计算和工业对标,提出该单元操作优化建议。该溶剂脱沥青装置使用纯度高于99.9%的n-C5H12,对溶剂质量要求苛刻,造成溶剂成本高;溶剂/渣油(质量比)高达7,造成装置能耗高。分析研究表明:采用n-C4H10质量分数不超过10%的n-C5H12与n-C4H10混合溶剂替换高纯度n-C5H12溶剂,调整溶剂/渣油(质量比)为4,脱沥青油收率仅降低0.8%,但对溶剂品质的要求大幅降低,并且溶剂脱沥青装置能耗降低约33.4%。
