Summary of Production of Low Melting Point 100B Wax by Ketone Benzene Dewaxing Unit

Abstract:

The operating conditions for producing 100B wax were analyzed through the orthogonal experimental method, to explore the main influencing factors and optimal conditions that affect the oil content and yield of the wax. Four parameters that have a significant influence on the oil content and yield of the wax, namely the solvent-ketone ratio, the feed temperature in the first stage of deoiling, cold point feed temperature, and deoiling vacuum degree, were selected. A 4-factor 3-level orthogonal experiment was established, and an L9 (3⁴) orthogonal table was used for experimental design. The results show that the factors influencing the oil content and yield of 100B wax from high to low are the solvent-ketone ratio, the feed temperature in the first stage of deoiling, cold point feed temperature, and deoiling vacuum degree. Moderate solvent-ketone ratio (64%–66%), high cold point feed temperature (25℃), moderate feed temperature in the first stage of deoiling (9℃), and deoiling vacuum degree (75 kPa) are beneficial for reducing the oil content and improving the wax yield of 100B wax. The characterization and analysis of 100B wax were carried out using polarizing microscope, X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), and liquid chromatography. The results show that the crystals of 100B wax are mainly in large flakes, with a high content of n-alkanes of 96.47% and a carbon number distribution of C₂₀–C₂₅, belonging to the category of paraffin wax. After optimization, the oil content of 100B wax can be stably controlled below 0.8% with the lowest value of 0.5%, while the wax yield remains stable.

为探讨影响100B蜡中油含量和蜡收率的主要影响因素和最优条件,选取溶剂酮比、脱油一段进料温度、冷点原料温度、脱油真空度等4个对油含量和蜡收率影响较大的参数,建立4因素3水平的正交试验,选用L9(3⁴)正交表进行试验设计,通过正交试验方法分析生产100B蜡的操作条件。结果表明:100B蜡中油含量和蜡收率影响程度从大到小的因素依次是溶剂酮比、脱油一段进料温度、冷点原料温度、脱油真空度;适度溶剂酮比(64%~66%)、高冷点原料温度(25℃)、适度脱油一段进料温度(9℃)和脱油真空度(75 kPa)有利于降低100B蜡中油含量、提高蜡收率;100B蜡结晶以大片状结晶为主,正构烷烃质量分数高达96.47%,碳数分布范围在C₂₀~C₂₅,属于石蜡范畴;经过优化100B蜡中油含量可以稳定控制在0.8%以下,最低可降至0.5%,蜡收率保持稳定。
