Cause analysis and countermeasures of chlorine content off-specification in coking gasoline

Abstract: The chlorine content of coking gasoline of SINOPEC Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company exceeded the standard, which caused ammonium chloride crystallization in heat exchanger of downstream naphtha hydrogenation unit and chlorine corrosion of equipment. The reason was analyzed, and the source and existing form of chlorine were found out. Through investigation one by one, it was finally determined that the main cause of excessive chloride in coking gasoline was the coking and refining of condensed oil of gas holder. After taking measures such as recovery of low-pressure fuel gas from overhead of atmospheric and vacuum flash column and isolation of reforming dechlorination tank from low-pressure fuel gas, the chlorine content of condensed oil of gas holder decreased gradually, and the chlorine content of coking gasoline decreased to below 1.1 μg/g, which met the process requirements.

摘要: 中国石油化工股份有限公司镇海炼化分公司焦化汽油氯含量超标,引起下游石脑油加氢装置换热器氯化铵结晶和设备氯腐蚀。对其原因进行了分析,查找了氯的来源、存在形态。逐一排查,最终确定气柜凝缩油进焦化回炼是引起焦化汽油氯化物超标的主要原因。采取常减压闪顶低瓦回收、重整脱氯罐与低瓦隔离等措施,气柜凝缩油中氯含量逐步降低,焦化汽油中氯质量分数降至1.1 μg/g以下,满足了工艺要求。
